Challenges

We primarily started to operate in the areas affected by the civil war in the country which has caused great destruction of the entire infrastructure, that has negatively impacted on the process of development and growth, especially in the war affected zones.

Sudan is one of the wars affected countries located in the Horn of Africa. It is politically divided into three classification that includes North Sudan (mainly inhabited by Arabs Muslims and other minorities), Southern Sudan (mainly inhabited by Black African Christians, and marginalized and isolated territories such as South Kordofan/Nuba Mountains Region/State, Blue Nile, Darfur (mainly inhabited by Multi-ethnic groups both Muslims, Christian and people with traditional religious believes).  We primarily started to operate in the areas affected by the civil war in the country which has caused great destruction of the entire infrastructure, that has negatively impacted on the process of development and growth, especially in the war affected zones.

As a consequence of the Sudanese civil war, many victims are facing many challenges. there are not enough means of income resources to perform spiritual, administrational and developmental activities, inadequate schools, insufficient healthcare centers, lack of clean and safe drinking water, and lack of safe roads, transportation and communication system which makes the work so difficult.

Due to these massive destructions, most of our people have migrated to far northern part of the country, by mean of seeking better life and stability. We have extended our work to the northern regions where we have established more congregations and local churches.

Our ministry and other Christian missionaries and international humanitarian organizations attempted harder to minimize certain challenges, but up to now, what they have done is little, and many people in those areas are still experiencing a lot of challenges, and we do request all people of good will to assist us mitigate these undesirable circumstances.
