History
Our Church was created in April 13. 2013 in Yei - South Sudan that was function autonomously as UMC, we have started with 39 churches with 23,623 people. As a group of Sudan nondenominational independent church, we chose to join a certain reliable administration after being administratively baseless for a long time. The group that formed this Sudanese group name it nondenominational independent Church because it was composed of various church groups that came out from other church denominations and decided to stay in union and grouped themselves together to form a new body of faith with a new worship method. These were dominantly including people from different major denominations such as (Anglican Episcopal, Catholic Roman, Evangelical, and Church of Christ) followed by minor groups that were newly functioned in Sudan such as (CME, Presbyterian and Lutheran Church).
Living in midst of fanatic Islamic and Arabic speaking nations, our group continue to thrive and express its desire to expand its mission to further God's Kingdom within such nations in Nile Valley Regions under any stable and legitimate administration that is well recognized.
Finding United Methodist Church was a key to our aspiration to carry our mission. This becomes imperative for us to plant seeds in such fertile soil that United Methodist did not yet establish its churches. But due to the latest conflict in the United Methodist Church, we have finally determined to join the Global Methodist Church.

Our goal is to turn the lost souls to Christ in Nile Valley geographical territories, especially those Arabic speaking nations who are Islamic extremists which are biblically unreachable societies where Christianity is extremely prohibited.
As some of you may be aware about the recent upheaval of crisis aroused by Arab Spring that placed Christianity in Middle East and in surrounding nations in unembellished risk in which Christianity is about to extinct.
The most common threat to Christians living in these Islamic and Arabic speaking nations is militant Islam, thus it says, claiming that oppression in Muslim countries is often ignored because of a fear that criticism will be seen as “racism” As recent reports wants that converts from Islam face being killed in Saudi Arabia, North Sudan, Mauritania and Iran and ongoing massive risk related to sever legal penalties in other countries across Middle East.
As the church grew, the influence of the church leaders grew as well. Soon the heads of the church shall become major figures in Middle East society. This becomes one of the driving forces that motivates us to stick to our determination of establishing and extending our mission to entire Middle East nations. Even though it has been said that the number of Middle Eastern Christians are dropping due to such factors as low birth rates compared with Muslims, extensive emigration and ethnic and religious persecution, we commit to act by spreading the Good News of Bible in order to bring the salvation to many souls that are lost.
Expansion of our mission
According to Mathew's Gospel, the risen Christ made it clear: " Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you" (Mathew 28:19-20).
Based on the scenario of Great Commission, the GMC Middle East has stated its purpose to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of world. Local churches provide the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs. So, the basic focus of GMC Middle East is to make disciples, and our mission is based on a personalized clarification of the Global Methodist mission and principle as follow:
- Growing Deeper in Christ – Leading people to accept Jesus Christ as personal savior and become disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, study, prayer, small groups and fellowship groups.
- Going Further for Christ – By expressing our discipleship, showing the love of sharing the light of Christ through service to those who are suffering in body, mind, and spirit.
- Our Discipleship Road Map – Uses the analogy of a healthy, fruit-bearing tree and gives more attention on how we can grow spiritually with the guide to our mission statement.
